Handcrafted Miniature Book Apocalypse ca 1415

The Apocalypse is a dollhouse miniature book containing selected pages from a Medieval  apocalypse book published circa 1415.

An apocalypse is one of the Christian writings marked by pseudonymity, symbolic imagery, and the expectation of an imminent cosmic cataclysm in which God destroys the ruling powers of evil and raises the righteous to life in a messianic kingdom.

The miniature book consists of 84 pages not including the colorful end sheets and measures 1" wide, 1 1/8" high and 3/8" thick, which is a bit large for 1" scale.

The pages are printed on both sides of single sheets and cut by hand. The pages are printed on presentation quality 24 pound parchment paper. The covers are printed on 20 pound acid free 92 brightness 25% cotton bond paper. The books are constructed using techniques the artist has developed for miniature books.
